Dominic brings a rare combination of engineering, operational finance, and private equity experience to the Sparring team. An industrial engineer by training (MSc International Industrial Engineering, FH Technikum Wien), he began his career at VINCI Energies in industrial engineering before moving into operational controlling at Kraus & Naimer, covering manufacturing sites across four countries.
He then completed the Ranger High Potential Programme at Mayr-Melnhof Packaging, with rotations in Germany, Poland, and Vienna, before joining Leder & Schuh AG (HUMANIC) as Head of Controlling and Project Management — building the group-wide controlling and PMO function across nine countries and approximately €360m in revenue.
Dominic subsequently founded REDONO, a rental business for aerial work platforms and height-access equipment, where he built the go-to-market, operations, and commercial setup from scratch. He then spent three and a half years at AG Capital, most recently as Investment Director, leading private equity transactions across the full deal lifecycle — from sourcing and due diligence through structuring, negotiation, portfolio value creation, and exit.
This combination of hands-on engineering, operational finance, and investment discipline gives Dominic a grounded perspective on what it takes to build and scale tech-enabled businesses — not only on paper, but in day-to-day execution.
At Sparring, Dominic contributes to origination, fundraising and execution. Within the portfolio, he leads on Operations, Execution and PMO.
Dominic holds a degree in International Industrial Engineering from an Austrian University. Outside of work, he keeps active at the gym and finds balance in his garden.
